Sasha’s teacher appreciation gift tag

by Sasha

Hello everyone! Sasha here. With the school year wrapping up for many, now is the perfect time to share some appreciation with your children’s teachers with a gift and a handmade gift tag! I used the Little School Digital Stamp Set to create a simple gift tag that makes for the perfect addition to any teacher gift. The Big School Digital Stamp Set also features many images that are perfect for this craft!

I started by uploading a few of the images from the Little School Digital Stamp Set into Cricut Design Space. I used Cricut Design Space to size my images, print them onto 100 Hammermill Cardstock, and cut them using my Cricut cutting machine. I also used my Cricut cutting machine to cut a tag that measures 2.5 inches by 3.75 inches. However, you can also cut this by hand.

You can colour the images however you want! I decided to use Ohuhu alcohol markers. I used the following colours to do this:

  • Green: G470, G190, G170, G130
  • Red: R8, R2, R3, R1

For the background of my tag, I used a starburst stencil, ink-blending one of the layers with a yellow ink (I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide) and using a golden stencil butter/paste with the other layer. A star-themed stencil would also make for an adorable background!

Lastly, I used liquid adhesive glue to adhere my coloured images onto the gift tag and attached some baker’s twine to the tag so that it is ready to go! You can also choose to write a personalized message on the back of the tag to bring the whole gift together.

And that’s it!
