Von Marie’s yummy cookie treat bag toppers

by Von Marie

Hello everyone. Von Marie here with my latest project.  I had so much fun making some cookie treat topper bags.  My oven is down so I couldn’t make homemade cookies like I wanted to, but these cookies still worked and were still a delicious treat to give.

I printed out some cookie stamps on white cardstock and made a chocolate chip background with the fun stamp included in the kit using the Coffee and Cupcakes stamp set. I inked my Choc Chips background with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink and colored in my cookie stamps with my Copic alcohol Markers.

Once my cookies were colored and my background was inked to my liking it was time to fussy cut my cookies using my scissors.

I grabbed my treat topper dies so that I could cut out my Choc. Chips background. You can easily make a treat topper folding a paper in half if you don’t have dies. Decorative scissors are a nice fun touch to add to your treat toppers.

My dies have a layering die, so I chose to cut out my inked Chocolate Chips background with the die.

Next, I thought this nice muted red cardstock would be nice to cut out with my main treat holder die that has a handle.

I placed my cookies in some clear treat bags from my home. My  treat holders are coming along. I will use a mini stapler to adhere my treat toppers to my bags.

To decorate I will place 2 cookie images on each treat holder using liquid glue. You can put more cookie images depending on how large your treat bag topper is or depending on the size you printed your cookies. Usually I like the rule of 3 but the size of these cookies, I feel 2 cookies look decent.

My cookie treat bags are now complete with a sentiment strip and ready to gift to someone to make them smile.

I  had so much fun making these. You can do a lot with treat toppers using different desserts or snacks. Kate Hadfield Designs has so many fun whimsical images perfect for any treat toppers you choose to make!

Until Next Time…
