Hello everyone! Betsy here today sharing this beach themed card using the 100 in the Shade Digital Stamp Set!

Let me show you how I made my card! First I composed my images in the computer and printed them out onto white card stock. By grouping them together they become one image – easier to cut!

Next I chose my background paper. I liked the vibe of this more modern version of the beach and water and thought it went well the simplicity of the images.

I fussy cut my focal image. I printed a sentiment on the background panel, made a base from kraft card stock and another smaller panel to go behind the focal.

I took the aqua layer and used an embossing folder that was wavy. Doing that gave the piece a little more interest.

I assembled the background pieces. I used a rectangle die for the main layer.

Next, with the background established and color palette chosen I started coloring with my Copic markers.

I moved along – the images were easy to color. I kept my colors fairly bright. Copic colors used: Y00, Y02, Y06, Y15, Y17, Y21, BG000, BG01, BG02, BG05, E18, R02, R05, R14, B69, E21, E30, E31, E33, E35, 100.

With my image colored I could now assemble my card! I used Stickles on the flower on the hat, the lemon slice and the sun on the tanning lotion bottle. I used Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and the ice cubes. Then I sprinkled some tiny metal sea shells and starfish. I then popped the image up on foam tape.

This card project worked up quite quickly and encompasses everything we like about the beach on a sunny day! You can find this digital stamp and so many more over in Kate’s shop!
Til next time…
