Hello everyone! Sasha here. Today, I’m sharing an adorable, fun paper craft that’s perfect for kids (or the young at heart!) – paper bag puppets! They are incredibly easy to make and customize using whatever art supplies you desire. I used the Animal Pals: Koalas digital stamp set, specifically the Koala Topper and branch images, for my puppet. However, there are other animals included in the Animal Pals range of digital images, including otters, foxes, and wolves, that would all work perfectly with this craft project.

I started by first uploading my images into Microsoft Word and sizing them to fit a brown paper bag that measures 5 inches by 10.75 inches. When printing and cutting digital stamps, I usually use my Cricut Cutting Machine; however, I decided to cut the images for my paper bag puppet by hand so that I could cut out the arms and koala head separately, allowing me to glue the hands onto the side of the paper bag later.

Next, it’s time to colour! My favourite colouring medium to use is alcohol markers, so I used Ohuhu alcohol markers to colour my images. I also used a few coloured pencils to add some fur texture to my koala! But feel free to use whatever colouring medium you prefer! Whether it’s markers, paints, crayons, or even glitter glue, get creative and have fun creating your puppets.

I used the following markers to colour my images:
- Greys: NG07, NG06, CG070, CH050, CG030, CG020
- Browns: E310, E370, E240, E220
- Greens: G7, G470, G190, G170, G130

To finish our paper bag puppets, all you have to do is glue the koala’s head on the bottom of the bag and the arms with the branch on the side of the bag. I used liquid adhesive for this.

And there you have it! An adorable paper bag puppet that anyone can play with!

Thanks for reading. See you next time!
Sasha
