Betsy’s quick and easy Let It Snow cards

by Betsy Birge

Hello everyone!  Betsy here today sharing these two-for-one card projects using the Let It Snow Set – colored version and one of the backgrounds found in the Chilly Overlays set.  If you have a need to batch your cards because you have so many to send out, the colored versions of the stamp sets are a great way to go!  Let me show you how I made the cards!

Since this was a project where I’d be using the colored images, I chose my background paper first.  I use WORD for a program and it allows me to change the colors of my images to whatever color I need.  I cut a piece of the background paper and a piece of coordinating glitter card stock.  Then I printed my images out onto white card stock.

I used a bit of glitter pen in the same color-way and then used a smaller die that matched the one that I used for the glitter paper.

My project was essentially ready to put together…so quick and easy!  But it was at this point I discovered that when I cut the violet paper, I also cut the paper beneath it – the cool green paper!  No problem!!!  I changed the color of the elements again and printed off another page and made the card the exact same way.  This would be so easy to batch!  I used coordinating tiny gems in the top of the hat, the tip of the cream in the cocoa and to dot the “i” in the sentiment.  I used coordinating glitter gel pens to fill in the dots on the elements and to color in the centers of the background snowflakes. I popped up that final panel with  foam tape. Then I dotted the snowflakes around the outsides of them.  And that finished my 2 for 1 card project!

If you need cards that come together quickly, try the colored versions of other stamp sets found in the shop!

Til next time…
