Betsy’s Funky Flora Joodle friendship card

by Betsy Birge

Hello everyone!  Betsy here sharing this very colorful and quirky Hello card that would be great to give a friend!  I used the Flora Joodles Set and the Painted Pretties Paper Set. These images are already colored in – so a lot of the work is done for you!

Let me show you how I made my card! I composed my image on the digital paper and printed it out.  I realized that I wanted the orientation of the elements arranged a bit differently so I made the edits and printed it out again.  I would use the first print out and fussy cut the 3 biggest flowers with some leaves attached.

Here are both of the prints:

Here is the main image which I trimmed down and the fussy cut flowers/leaves.

I used a 5” x 6 ½” white card base.  I used black checkerboard peel-offs along the edges.  They really look good with the vibe of the flowers. I adhered enamel dots to the flower centers.  I die cut my sentiment using a die from my stash using black card stock.  I die cut this 3 times and adhered them together for a little more dimension.

I adhered the 3 big fussy cut flowers on top of their corresponding flowers on the base and used foam tape.

I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and nestled it right into the middle of the flowers.  I used Glossy Accents on the dot of the “i” and the dot of the exclamation point.  I added some black dots in the middle that you can see around the sentiment just for a little more interest and my card was done!

Til next time…
