We have only had the tiniest smattering of snow here this month, but my Facebook news feed is packed with lots of snow filled winter photos from my friends around the world (with a few very sunny “down under” pics mixed in there too!). I asked my team to pick their favourite winter themed page to share with you – I hope you enjoy all the snowy inspiration! (Click on the layouts to go to the gallery to see the full credits).
Let it Snow by Dagi
“I love how bright and shiny (though it is a winter layout) this is! And those photos.. Precious memories!”
Shoveling with Daddy by Keela
“This layout is a favorite of mine because I don’t get a lot of Winter photos outside. I shot these photos with my phone. I was able to use them because of the template’s small squares. It kept my photos small enough to look ‘okay’ and Kate’s doodles just perfect the entire thing!”
From Where I Stand by Lorry
“I usually try to scrap things that the girls will want to remember — their toys, their games, their friends, etc. — but this one is for me. It’s my perspective and my memory. The picture is three years old and they’re already not hugging me all the way home so much, so I’m glad I got it captured!”
Brrr! by Kirstie
This was my daughter’s first trip to the snow a few years ago. She had never seen snow and didn’t know how much colder it was going to be. She got to experience making a snow ball, building a snowman. making snow angels and seeing it snow also. We haven’t been back to the snow since even though it’s only 3 hours drive away but we’re hoping to go this winter.
Inukshuk by Berniek
“I finished scrapping the photo’s for this 2009/2010 Canada album a few years ago. The album is printed and it sitting on my book shelf. But every now and again I catch myself thinking back at this adventure and longing to be there again. Instead of actually flying 10 hours, I figured I’ll scrap a page about it. Because this was the best time of my life. So far.
Where’s my snow? by Jude
“I love this layout because it indulges my weather obsession (so very British, right?) and was a rare complete ‘scrap therapy’ layout for me, just getting my wintery disappointments out on the page.”
Comfort by Christa
“I love winter pages.. as you get all bundled up to go outside, but when you come in to take the hats and gloves off into a nice warm house and have a hot cup of coffee, tea or cocoa waiting for you is definitely comfort!!”
First Snow by Olga
“These are two firsts for me, the first Layout as an official CT, and the first snow of the year. My favourite, while it’s still fresh and white, we built snow Totoros, my youngest and I, and then Daddy came out, so the two of them had a snowball fight. Loved the purple in the Bundled up, goes with both my campanulas under the snow, and daughter’s coat, right?”
Snow Day by Natascha
“I really love this page despite the fact that I was sick when this picture was taken, but I knew my little lady would love to play in it. It’s rare for us to have snow and her dad took this picture of her when he brought her to school so that’s the reason why I love this page so much!! “
Bundled Up by Eli
“This is the first picture of my daughter Maria with snow. She was too small and did not understand what the snow actually was!”
Winter Wonderland by Jenni
“I’m not a fan of cold weather, but I do love a good winter storm and the beauty it leaves behind. When you come into our neighborhood, there’s a bit of a hill at first, but then you top the hill and see this valley of houses with the trees behind them, and it’s just stunning. (Then I run inside, get into my fleece pajamas, and fix myself a hot cup of coffee!)”
Groundhog Day by Rebecca
“When my son – age 6 – heard that the groundhog saw his shadow, he wasn’t happy that we were to have more snow! This is one of my favorite winter pages because I loved the little comic strip that I was able to create with Kate’s cute doodles!”
