Von Marie’s hip hip hooray birthday notebook craft

by Von Marie

Hello everyone Von Marie here with my latest project: Birthday Notebooks. I’ve been having so much fun making notebooks that I wanted to share an easy way to make some for gifts.

I chose some fun stamps from the Let’s Celebrate Stamp set. I printed the stars, party hat, cake, banner and sentiment on white cardstock. I arranged them in this fun way and then I copy and paste them again as I wanted to have a set of 2. I had these new notebooks in my craftroom (3 ¼ x 5 ½) and these stamps will be perfect to make homemade covers for my notebooks.

I started coloring in a fun mostly pink and green combo. I was going to match my notebooks but kinda did my own thing. I used my Copic Alcohol Markers.

I finished coloring adding yellow and gold to my color combo. I brought in colored cardstock 85 pounds as my image sheets were not long enough to cover my entire notebook covers. I’ll use my paper trimmer to cut my colored cardstock.

I will have my pink and green colored cardstock showing on the top and bottom of my covers for my notebooks.

Now it’s time to glue everything to my notebooks using liquid glue.  If you prefer to use a tape runner that will work too.

I decided to add some skinny glitter washi tape to the Notebooks.  I love glitter and gold I think it makes these notebooks more festive. You can add a strip of glitter paper or pattern paper.  Make your own and have fun.

Lastly, I added some fun matching enamel dot stickers. I added them to the banner. You can even write the recipient’s name in the banner. I almost did that.

I just love all the added touches to these notebooks.

How fun are these notebooks? I had so much making these Birthday Notebooks. I hope you try making these or something similar.  They are so much fun and you can add pens like I did and place them in a gift bag.

Until Next Time…
