Favourite School scrapbook pages

by Kate

With one week left of the summer holidays here and lots of schools over the pond already back in session for the new school year, I asked the Creative Team to share their favourite school inspired pages and projects for this month’s Team Favourites! I hope you enjoy this collection of “back to school” layouts and that they inspire you to record your little one’s first days at school, or even scrapbook your own high school memories!

In the Locker by Christa

“This one is my favorite! (I also had fun manipulating the doodle to make the inside of the locker visible!) I like to do photo-less layouts now and again to stir a memory and this one did it with the lockers… Since I do not have kids, school doodles always draws me back to my own memories. I am very fortunate with the town I grew up in. We were a very close class. I am still friends with many people I went to Elementary school with 50 years ago, even though we all live all over the US! This layout makes me laugh as Lori & I will talk about this memory of sharing lockers every so often!”

First Day by Jenni

“My grandson hates to have his picture taken, but he understands that there are a handful of days during the year when Mom neeeeeeds a picture. The first day of school is one such day. With bits & pieces from several of Kate’s kits, this layout captures the variety of classes he has in 4th grade.”

School bus name activity by Kristina

“I have this school bus name puzzle I did for the kids, using “Little School”. I stretched the bus by cutting it into about 1 inch pieces in Photoshop, and then duplicating one piece a couple extra times, in order to have enough windows for the kid’s names. This is linked to the gallery where I explained it a bit more.”

First Day by Lorry

“This is definitely my favorite! Maggie could not have been more excited about her first day, and I feel like I really kept the LO fun and happy like the pictures. The doodles are so much fun and I love the colors. “

High School by Kirstie

“I love creating a scene with Kate’s doodles!”

It’s Elementary by Christa

“This one I love as it is my first day of Kindergarten which will be 50 years ago in September! I am still friends with Ed, Mike & Karen…”

Memories of High School Days

“And this one – another memory of my senior year of High School is a wonderful flashback.”

Science by Bethany

“First, and my most recent layout, using the kit “Science Time” in a layout that is a simple tribute to how much my son loved science in elementary school. He had some pretty awesome teachers that made science truly “cool”.”

The Human Body by Bethany

“My second layout features a lesson on the human body that my son learned in first grade. Amazing the resources that were available to make science come alive for those kids! It was also fun to use a non-science, non-scholastic kit for this layout, as I found the perfect skeleton in “Frank n Friends” :)”
