Hello everyone! Sasha here. Today, I’m monkeying around (get it?) and sharing a fun, quick card I made with the Monkeying Around Digital Stamp Set from Kate Hadfield Designs.

I started by uploading the images to Cricut Design Space, sizing them to fit a US A2-sized card, printing them onto Hammermill cardstock, an alcohol-marker-friendly cardstock, and cutting them using my Cricut Cutting Machine. I also created a matching, punny sentiment in Cricut Design Space for my card. You can never go wrong with a good pun!

Once cut, I used the following Ohuhu alcohol markers to colour the images:
- Yellow: Y070, Y050, Y040
- Green: G190, G170, G140, G130
- Brown: E260, E240, E220, E210

For the background of my card, I used a couple of green inks to create a subtle gradient at the top, helping to create a simple jungle scene! For this, I used Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide. I also splattered the background with white paint, because a little bit of splatter always works its way into whatever I create!

To finish off the card, I used liquid adhesive to adhere the images and sentiment. I made sure to place the monkey’s tail on top of the vine so it really looks like he’s hanging from it! I also trimmed off the excess that overhung the card.

And there you have it! I love creating simple scenes on my cards, such as this one. With only a few images and a little bit of ink-blending, it’s so easy to tell a story!

Thanks for reading. See you next time!
