As March Meet the Maker comes to a close, I thought I’d share some of my posts from the second half of the month. I did lose some steam over the last week or so and didn’t post as often as I did to begin with, but I still really enjoyed the process and found even more lovely new accounts to follow! All in all I really enjoyed the challenge and would love to take part again, although my plan for next year is to get organised ahead of time rather than jumping in at the last minute and flying by the seat of my pants!
Here are a few of the pics I shared, along with the challenge prompts that inspired them:
Work in Progress – playing around with some lovely new chalk markers in my black sketchbook
Learning Curve – I talked a little about how I really enjoy online learning and some of the arty courses I have taken over the years. These patterns were created for the Index Card A Day challenge a few years ago.
Portrait – a doodled version of me (and further proof that I’ll do pretty much anything to avoid having my photo taken!)
In Use – I recently had this jigsaw printed featuring my monster doodles and I LOVE how it turned out!
Colour – this was my sort of prompt, I do love a bit of colour! I opted for a stack of open sketchbooks and lots of colourful doodled blooms.
Favourite – all my favourite art supplies for doodle making!
If you fancy joining me and playing along next year you can find all the information about the challenge over on the March Meet The Maker website. I plan on keeping an eye on Joanne Hawker’s Instagram account for a list of prompts nice and early next time around!
