Happy new year and congratulations to the winner of last month’s challenge, Rafflecopter picked Ferdy’s colourful Christmas page “Us” as the winner! Please message me over at the Lilypad for details of how to claim your prize Ferdy, many thanks to everyone who played along with the challenge!
This month we have not one, but TWO fun templates for you to scrap with! You’re welcome to scrap with both templates and enter the giveaway twice, just make sure to create a separate entry for each layout so Rafflecopter counts both entries! Both templates have a ‘new yearsy’ feel to them: Kirstie created a fun countdown themed template (that big circle is crying out to be replaced with a clock element for a New Year’s Eve layout!) while Christa created a year in review template to help you look back on the highlights of 2017! The 2017 date is a separate layer so if you want to create similar pages for other years, or to use the layout to showcase a series of photos it’s really easy to amend and customise.
Creative Team Inspiration: Countdown Template
Here’s what the Creative Team put together using Kirstie’s Countdown Template, lots of new year cheer but there are also a couple of different takes on the composition that really help to show that using a template as a starting point for your page can spark other ideas!
Creative Team Inspiration: Year in Review
Here’s some pages from the team using Christa’s Year in Review template, I hope they inspire you to get creative and record your year (or make a list!) too!
Along with the templates, we also have another couple of free gifts for you to celebrate the new year! Christa has kindly put together a set of celebratory overlays and a set of date brads to share with you today (you can see how she used both of these in her pages above!) – simply click on the images to download!
1. Download the free templates below. You can use them as is, flip them, resize them, anything you want to make them your own!
