The inspiration for my illustrations can come from all sorts of places: my kids’ latest obsession, colour palettes, TV shows, magazine spreads, colour palettes, a favourite book, a family trip, friend’s hobbies, oh and did I mention colour palettes?! I do love a nice juicy colour scheme!
A friend’s daughter’s Halloween costume actually inspired this pack – here in the UK, it is usual for Halloween costumes to only be of the spooky variety (think ghosts, vampires, witches, werewolves etc) so I was intrigued to hear that my pal’s little one was dressing up as a monkey! And a very cute monkey at that.
