Sasha’s pretend play Perfect Pizza craft

by Sasha

Hello everyone! Sasha here. Today, I am sharing a very tasty crafty project, one so good you wish you could eat it… paper pizza! Using the Perfect Pizza Digital Stamp Set, I created a fun and interactive pretend-play pizza that’s perfect for little ones who love imaginative play. This project is not only a blast to make but also a great way to encourage creativity, storytelling, and hands-on fun for kids.

To get started, I uploaded the images of the dough, tomato sauce, cheese, tray, and all my chosen toppings into Cricut Design Space. I sized the pizza to approximately 7 inches by 7 inches, which is large enough for small hands to play with yet small enough to print on standard 8.5” x 11” cardstock. Once ready, I printed the images and cut them using my Cricut cutting machine. You can also use any word-processing software, such as Microsoft Office or Google Docs, to size and print your images.

With everything cut and ready to go, it’s time for my favourite part: colouring! I used alcohol markers to bring each piece to life, but you can absolutely use crayons, markers, coloured pencils, or whatever art supplies you love most.

Now it’s time to laminate all the pieces. While this step is optional, I highly recommend laminating each piece to ensure they are durable and will last through play. However, since I do not have a laminator, I instead used clear packing tape to ‘laminate’ my paper pieces, which works just as well! Once laminated, I simply trimmed off the excess, and my pizza was ready to serve.

And there you have it, your very own paper pizza, fresh from the craft oven! This paper pizza is a great way to encourage creativity and imaginative play, especially for little ones who love pretend cooking.

Thanks for reading. See you next time!
