Monsterific Sticker Giveaway

by Kate

I’m wrapping up my anniversary celebrations with another sticker giveaway! These vinyl stickers are really fun – you can use them for paper crafting but they’re also durable enough to stick on book covers, drink cups, laptop cases and more. I’ve gone for an anniversary / birthday / celebration theme this time with these happy little monsters bearing gifts and cake. You can’t go wrong with gifts and cake!

I’m hosting two giveaways – one here on the blog and another over on Instagram, you’re very welcome to enter both if you’d like!

Ten random winners picked from the entries (five from the blog entries and five from Instagram) will each receive a set of these colourful monster stickers.

The giveaway is open worldwide, although there may be a delay in receiving your prize due to postal restrictions. (Some of the stickers from my Christmas giveaway still haven’t made it to their new homes, ugh!) If I’m unable to post to you straight away I’ll hang on to your prize until restrictions are lifted so you won’t miss out.

Entry closes on 11.59pm GMT Thursday 18th February 2021. The winners will be announced on this post (and the Instagram winners on my Instagram post) on the 19th of February.

How to enter

Just leave a comment on this post tell me about your favourite birthday or anniversary tradition before the closing date of 11.59pm GMT Thursday 18th February 2021.

Super simple! I’ll email you on 19th Feb to arrange delivery of your stickers (please double check your email address when leaving a comment so I can get in touch!). I’m looking forward to hearing about your favourite traditions, good luck!

And the winners are….

Many thanks to everyone who enters the giveaway, I loved reading about all your traditions (especially the cake ones!). The random number generator picked the winners as follows: Stacy, Elke, Diana, Donna and Carla – please check your email for details ladies!

In my class we sing a song, which the birthday-kid can choose. Then he gets a little Present from me and plays our birthday lottery. (He can win “no homework” or “choose a game in maths” …) And he gets a candle on his desk (LED of course) for the whole day ๐Ÿ™‚
They really like it and so do I.

My favorite way to celebrate my birthday is with friends. My birthday is in March and everything shut down on the very day last year. I hope I get to meet with my friends in 2022 because this year it doesn’t look promising. Maybe I should think of a new tradition … maybe a Zoom meeting!!

We have a large family and it’s often difficult to get everyone together for Birthdays. When we do get everyone together, we like to ask the Birthday person what their hopes, dreams and aspirations are for the coming year. It is fun to cheer them on during the year and celebrate when they reach one of their goals!

About 5 years ago, my sister-in-law got this really big dog birthday card that you wore like a hat. Now when it is your birthday, you have to wear the dog hat. After so many years and so many birthdays, the pup is getting a little ragged, but he still gets used.

I am a primary school teacher and in my monster class (our mascot is a little blue monster called Malu) we took pictures on their first day of school. Now when the birthday of one of them is coming up, we take out the old picture and put them on the blackboard for a whole week. This way everybody knows who is the “special person” this week and it is always a lot of fun for all of us to see how they developed from beeing a young child to becoming a teenager. On their actual birthday, we put a special candle on their table and of course sing for this child.

I have lots of birthday/anniversary traditions ๐Ÿ™‚ At school there is the time together we celebrate the birthdays, the student sits on a chair in front of the others and we sing the birthday song. Then everyone comes over and makes a wish for the birthday child. At home we always go out in a restaurant to eat something special ๐Ÿ™‚

When I married my husband, we didn’t have a lot of money. So for birthdays and anniversary we’d go to the local Hallmark store, pick out the card we’d get the other, give it to them, with a hand written note written beforehand, read it & put the card back. It is a lot of fun and we have a ball doing it to this day. Our daughter loves it because we get to read a lot of different ones to make the day that much more special. You’d be amazed at how many people from the store love to see us & know what we’re doing.

My favorite Anniversary Tradition was that we would go to the Casino and get a bunch of $5 chips and go to the Roulette table and take turns betting on red or black and a few other bets until we amassed a nice little pot, then before we quit for the night, we would play $5 on each of 5 numbers significant to us, our Anniversary, his birthday, my birthday, his lucky number and my lucky number. Whether we won or lost it was always a night to remember and we always left a little ahead in the wallet.

It is an old pharmacy and the children were allowed to mix dried leaves and flowers for special teas. Best of all, the could produce peppermint “pills” with the old machines. In the middle of the box was a burning candle and a tiny rake to play in the sand. We aways got a small present from our teacher, and she would read any book you picked for the day. You also wouldn’t get any homework.

Everyone at the birthday table get’s his or her name written with “cookie letters”. Before the kids (we have 4) may enter the “birthday room” they have to line up on the stairs and we take lots of photos.

I love your cliparts, doodles and stickers! In school we do a “warm shower” on the children’s birthdays – so every classmate says something nice like a compliment or a good wish to the birthday child. In the beginning it’s quite hard, but after a few birthdays it’s lovely.

I love to have birthday – or anniversary-breakfast! It is so cozy and nice to have my beloved ones in the morning with flowers, a huge coffee, pancakes, fruits, juice some chilled jazz vibes and lots of love.
