With new year planning at the foremost of everyone’s mind, I’ve had a few requests for some updated bullet journal spreads for the 2025, so here’s the new version of January’s snowman calendar! You could use this as it is as a monthly calendar sheet or you can include it in your own bullet journal or planner as a monthly overview, or both if you need multiple calendars!
Looking for a printable calendar for 2026?
I’m mixing things up in my bullet journal for 2026 and won’t be making new monthly printables, but if you’d like to continue to use my calendar pages for 2026 you might like my Colour In Calendar instead!
There are 14 monthly spreads included (two versions for both April and December because I couldn’t decide between them!). The pages are A4 in size (but can be printed larger or smaller, just adjust your printer settings accordingly) and both Monday and Sunday starts to the week are included along with a text-free version so you can add your own lettering.
These monthly calendars are designed to be used in an A5 sized journal or binder, or printed on an A4 sheet of paper. I’ve included each side of the double page spread as separate pages in the PDF so if you are using a different sized journal you could experiment with printing at different percentages until you find the perfect size for your own notebook or journal.
How to use the calendar printable in your Bullet Journal
If you want to use the printable in your journal or notebook, there are a few options:
- Print, cut out and stick it into your journal ready to colour!
- If you would rather draw the design yourself, place the printout under your page and trace onto your journal – a small lightbox is helpful here, especially if your journal has thicker paper!
- Another option is to place the printout on top of your journal page and use graphite paper to transfer the drawing onto your pages, then ink over the graphite lines. Be sure to use graphite paper rather than carbon paper for a less messy and more easily erasable drawing!
I’ve included a couple of different options in the download, so just print the pages that you need. Along with the Monday or Sunday start versions I’ve also included a version for non-English speakers without the days of the week or the monthly title.
The type of paper you chose to print on with depend on how you intend on using the printed page, and how much colour you think you might add! If you’re going to trace or transfer the design to your journal you can use regular printer paper. To use as a single calendar sheet or to stick in your journal you might prefer a more substantial paper or cardstock, especially if (like me!) you like to use lots of layers of colour on your spreads.
Tips for printing on A4 paper:
- To print an A4 sized calendar sheet: print page 1
- For use in an A5 binder: print page 2 and cut in half along the dashed line. Punch holes and insert into your binder.
- For use in an A5 sized journal or notebook: print pages 3 and 4 and cut closely around the shaped edge. Fold or cut along the dashed line and glue your pages into your journal. TOP TIP: if the printable is a tight fit for your journal (not all A5 journals are exactly the same size) try cutting in half and trimming the inner edge along the dashed line to give you some extra wiggle room when positioning! You can also try printing at a slightly smaller size (try 95%).
Tips for printing on paper other than A4:
- For a single page calendar sheet print page 1 and select the “scale to fit media” option in your printer settings. The printed calendar will be smaller than A4 if printing on letter sized paper but will fit on the page without any cut off edges!
- For use in an A5 bullet journal – print pages 3 and 4 at 100% or “actual size” (don’t use the scale to fit media option!) and then cut out and adhere to your journal, or trace as above.
I love you enjoy using the monthly spread printable and that it helps you plan out your January! I would love to see how you use it so please feel free to tag me on social media if you share your work there (I’m Kate Hadfield Designs on Instagram and on Facebook) or get in touch to show me your snowy January creations!
Happy New Year! All best wishes for a fabulously happy, healthy and creative 2025!
