Halloween is almost here and we’re celebrating with our annual Halloween Bash! You can save 31% on all Halloween goodies in the shop through 31st October, and play along with lots of fun challenges and games over in the Lilypad forums! And to help you get into the mood for some Halloween fun, I asked the Creative Team to share their favourite spooky Halloween themed pages for this month’s Team Favourites – I hope they inspire you to get creative!
Zombie by Kirstie
“I created a Halloween scene including a cutout of a photo to fit in with the doodled zombies!”
Day of the Dead gift box by Rebecca
“Lately life gets in the way and my scissors and glue are gathering dust, however, when I saw these doodles, I just HAD to make a little box for my Halloween decor in the house!”
Happy Halloween by Christa
“A fun Halloween poster-like page I made with a spin and nod to my favorite show as a kid.. “The Munsters”…”
Mommy’s Little Monster and Tivoli by Lorry
“I love this one because I love the memory of my daughter deciding to be a zombie Elsa, and it was a lot of fun pulling together both monster-y and pretty/girly stuff, both for the costume and for the layout.”
“Halloween isn’t as much of a big deal in Denmark as in the US, where I grew up, but at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, they go all out. We live close by so it’s a given that we will go and get immersed in the Halloween spirit, and of course, I have to scrap it!”
Pumpkin Monsters by Amy
“I find this page just too cute! The little monsters are a perfect compliment to the monster faced pumpkins we saw at the pumpkin farm.”
Year of the Bugs by Kristina
“2012 was my daughter’s first Halloween. I remember being so excited to find this lady bug costume, because her nickname was Kaydee Bug. It worked out perfect that her cousin was also a bug that year!”
Trick or Treat by Jenni
“Several years ago I started my own Halloween tradition. Whenever kids come to the door to trick-or-treat, if their costumes are especially good or catch my interest, I’ll pull out the camera and take a picture of them. (After checking for parents’ permission, of course!)
It just takes an extra 30 seconds, but it makes the whole trick-or-treat experience a little more than just “give me candy!” Hopefully, it makes them feel special to know that someone really appreciated their effort. And who knows – it may be just the seed planting that creates a future cosplayer!”
Trick or Treat by Molly
“I love this layout mostly because of all of the yummy doodles and elements I was able to fit inside it. It’s just filled with color and interesting things to look at. It also makes me feel nostalgic to look at this layout because my kids were so little when these photos were taken! They won’t let me dress them up in matching themed costumes anymore (they have their own ideas about what they want to wear). Those were the good old days!”
