Autumn Get Well Soon card tutorial

by Betsy Birge

We had a crazy wet summer here in the Northeastern United States. But, lots of rain makes for a bountiful harvest of apples! I’ll be making a fall card with apples using the “Autumn Afternoon” stamp set! Let me show you how I made my card!

I started by composing my design in my computer and printing it out onto white card stock.

I decided before starting to color my images that I would die cut my image with a die from my stash.

Then I started my coloring with the apples. I wanted them to be bright and to really set the tone.

I then added more colors for the barrel and leaves – keeping them nice and bright!

Copic colors used: R02, R05, R17, R29, R59, W0, W2, W3, W5, W7, Y15, Y35, Y38, E08, E30, E31, E33, E35, E79, YG11, YG63, G21, G94, G99, G85, G28 and Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Marker – Burnt Orange

I chose a paper from my stash and covered an A2 size top folding card base and rounded the corners to match my die cut panel. I ink blended around the edges of the die cut panel with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I tied some twine around the bottom of the panel and added some deep gold confetti.

And that finished my card! The fall colors are so rich and vibrant! I hope I’ve inspired you to make a beautiful colorful fall card!

I just found your site. I was looking for a paper nativity set that we could take with us this Christmas as we travel with our grown kids and their families. When I was a child we had a paper nativity like this, cone shaped figures. Very simple, and we would put one up every day in advent. I finally found something that is just like it! Brings me such joy. I purchased the set of both colored and color in as we have some who like to color. But I know everyone will enjoy this. Thanks so much for sharing your art!
