I’m excited to share a new colouring page with you today! This page was inspired by this sketchbook spread I made after taking the Funky Florals online class by Megan Wells – if you’re looking for an expressive, artsy project I’d highly recommend this wonderful course! I really enjoyed Megan’s approach and methods of building up areas of colour and pattern to create lovely floral paintings.
I scanned my original sketch and created a colouring page version of my own “funky florals” for you to download and colour too!
The download is available in two different sizes (A4 and letter sized) with two versions of the colouring page in each PDF file.
One is a full page design where the flowers extend to the edge of the page (as in my original drawing!). The second is a scaled down version with plenty of white space to add your own flowers, washes of colour or other doodles. This second version might be the better option for you if your printer doesn’t offer full-bleed / edge-to-edge printing, although you could also trim your paper after printing if you’d like to colour a full-frame version.
Here’s a page that my daughter coloured using my markers:
I also made some digital stamps from the flowers in the colouring page, if you’re a mailing list subscriber you can download them over in The Doodle Den!
