Custom Doodle Contest 2016!

by Kate

It’s that time again – Custom Doodle Contest time!! I have really been looking forward to hearing all your wild and wonderful doodle needs! To mark my nine year design anniversary this month I’m holding a contest to win a set of custom doodles – if you’ve ever wanted specifically themed kit and just couldn’t find it, now is your chance to enter this contest and have me create your own perfectly personalized doodle pack for you!

Kate Hadfield Designs Custom Doodle Contest 2016

How to enter:

  • Just leave me a comment on this thread and let me know what themed doodle pack you would like me to create, feel free to leave as much detail as you need to describe your perfect pack!
  • The winners will be chosen by random number selector and I will work with you to create the doodles of your choice.
  • If someone else has already suggested the theme that you would like, please also leave a message with your suggestion – everyone who enters with the winning theme will receive the finished custom doodle pack for free!
  • Deadline for entries is midnight EST Monday 29th February 2016

If you have already got in touch and asked me to draw a specific theme for you, please feel free to also enter this contest. I am working through my existing list of theme requests as and when I can, but as that list is already very long you might like to try to jump the queue by entering the contest! Winners will be contacted by Thursday 3rd March and I will work on the winning doodle packs throughout March.

Thank you for all your support over the last nine years and good luck to everyone who enters the contest! I’m looking forward to working with you to create your perfect set of doodles!

Hi Kate! I’m from Texas and would love to a western/rodeo theme. Cowboy, cowgirl, lasso, boots, bandana print, sheriff’s star, armadillo, buckin’ bronco, rodeo clown, cactus, tumbleweed, longhorn cattle, rattlesnake, etc.

Down on the farm! Growing food, caring for farm animals from chickens to cows and the clothes that make it more comfortable to do the chores. Big floppy hats, irrigation boots and jeans, overalls and flannel shirts. My grandchildren love to help their Grandpa do the chores and are very upset if they don’t get to help.

Just had another fun idea for you at the last minute of the contest. A fun, yoga for kids type of kit. The set could have a mat, a lotus, … but also the animals that the poses are named after (a dog stretching buth up and down, a pigeon, a cat with back rounded and a cow with back curved down, kids or people in the warrior poses, …).
Can’t wait to see what wins and what you come up with!

Congrats on the anniversary, and thanks for having the contest once again. I love your Wizardry bundle and I was thinking an expansion on the HP universe would be great! Maybe all the creatures (dragon, phoenix, mermaid, centaur, house elves, …), maybe a character or two in their wizard robes, …

Well… this is far out there and I know it’s a small market but we have longhorn cattle that are pets and love them like I love dogs. I scrap them all the time and while it’s easy to find farm and cow elements, there are absolutely zero things out there for longhorns. I’m guessing this might be something a University of Texas fan would appreciate also but as long as you’re asking, I’m wishing. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you!

Bird, of course, robin, cardinal, chickadee, nuthatch, blue jay, goldfinch, etc. etc., etc. But I’d also like lake animals-birds, heron (blue and white), trumpeter swan, bald eagle, Canada goose, mallard duck, beaver, otter, muskrat, deer, squirrel, bugs-insects, and even a couple fish. We have it all! And we LOVE IT!

I know you have a Family Tree kit, but I really would like to see a more detailed “family history type” kit. One that includes people doodles, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, boy, girl, baby. A tree with branches, maybe some national costumes or flags, a ship, world maps….things that relate to “finding out who one is”.

Hi, First congratulations on your anniversary.
The kit I would like most is a cousin, aunt ,uncle BF and keeping in contact kit.
Actually it is sort of like two different wishes, but combined. LOL There are a lot of kits out there that are family themed, but not many ( if any ) that specifically cater for cousins and aunts, it is nearly always mum and dads, sisters and brothers. But some of us don’t have any of those left so….. pretty please if you feel like it, something
like 2 people connected by a phone .( old fashioned cord phone is ok ) letters , airmail envelopes, pens
stamps, care parcels in brown paper, calendar pages with a big x on, more “grown up “people , home knitted sweaters or socks still on needles. Computers, screens, message symbols ( fake skype type of thing ) perhaps a bit of word art or some kind of borders to tie it all in.

Our (sis&BIL’s) pug is a real character, and I would love to see a Kit that shows pugs in different positions, and situations. Maybe going for a walk, tilting his head to the side, panting, and examples below, etc. He’s fawn color with a light black stripe down his back. Brindle and black pugs would be cool, too. And he’s about 30 pounds and 14″ tall, and most of that is leg, he’s tall for a pug.
Examples: sitting like an old man (pics in my grrfluudy gallery @ TLP) 2. different pug facial expressions 3. kicking up his back legs to show what a big dog he is when big dogs bark at him.So, interacting with other dogs would be great, too. 4. He hates water, going to great lengths to avoid it 5.digging kleenex out of the trash to eat it (and getting in trouble when he gets caught) so doodles of those situations. triumphant with the kleenex – getting it taken away, etc. 6. He’s a total bed hog, and can take up an entire double bed himself, leaving a 160lb person with about a foot of space (ok, me), and he’s impossible to budge. He snores like a buzzsaw. 7. He loves carrots, cheese and tomatoes. However, grandpa spoils him & gives him people food he’s not allowed to have. grandpa also takes him on walks most often, grandpa is his favorite 8. he naps as often as a cat. 9. He loves everyone, and shakes his entire rear end, not just his curly tail when someone comes over. And no bare toes are safe! He loves to lick toes.
A pug kit like this would be awesome! Thanks for the chance, and Happy Design-Anniversary Kate!!

I’d love a bundle of different kinds of trees – a variety of spruce and a pine, a deciduous and even a palm tree. Along with some stumps, and some mushrooms. I’d like summer trees, but maybe a snow laden spruce would be nice too. So, basically all the trees that I spotted throughout my search, put into one bundle, haha.

I’m a tree lover, so I’d get good use out of the tree/stump/shroom bundle. So, I’ll request that ๐Ÿ™‚

I have looked EVERYWHERE for a ‘play shopping’ themed kit. I would LOVE to see a doodle pack with this theme. It would have a plastic looking shopping cart, play cash register, some play coins, and then some food items that ‘look’ like play food rather than actual food (more plastic or wood looking than real)…especially looking for some can goods and ‘box’ type items, egg cartons, and milk carton type food items.
