Doodle inspired earrings

I received a mystery package in the post the other day, all the way from Canada! When I opened it (or should I say, when I ripped it open like a child on Christmas morning) I found these amazing earrings from Sandra at The Studio at 249 waiting for me.

Sandra got in touch a little while ago to chat about using one of the doodles from my Index Card A Day project as the starting point for a new polymer clay pattern. I followed her amazing work on Instagram and was blown away with how closely she was able to match the original doodle design in clay.

I’m in awe of artists who work in clay, give me a pen and paper and I’m a happy girl but throw in something you have to swish and shape and I’m totally lost. Here are the earrings and the index card side by side – there’s some serious clay-magic going on here!
