Nicole and I got together again to create some new additions to our Doodled Pocket Pages range of templates, as a result we have two new packs to tell you about this week! These new Round Ups were created with year in review pages in mind, you can mix and match them to create your perfect double page celebration of the year. Or use them as single pages for those layouts where you want to include lots of photos and lots of journalling! Both the Doodled Pocket Pages: Rounds Ups #2 and Doodled Pocket Pages: Round Ups #3 are 20% off all weekend.
If you are looking for some last-minute quick and easy Christmas treat ideas, then this post is for you!! I recently had a request for some Elf Kisses bag toppers to match my Reindeer Noses from last year and so I asked my team for some ideas and they excelled themselves! Here are this year’s Christmas bag topper designs created by my lovely Creative Team members (the download contains four 7×5 inch toppers and two 4×4.5 inch toppers in jpeg format for you to print, each design is supplied with and without text):
Here they are printed up and full of treats! I filled the bags with Hershey’s Kisses but you could use any yummy Christmas treat! These are so simple to make, simply size the topper files to fit your bags (you can resize them in Photoshop or any other image editing software, or even in a word processing program if you’re not a digital scrapbooker!) then print, trim and fold in half. You can add your own personalised message in Photoshop or just write on the printed toppers! I fixed mine to the treat bag using a stapler (NB: if you position the staple along the edge of the black and white doodled border the staples are less noticeable!)
Make your own Gift Card envelope/holder:
Wow, it is December already and Christmas is only a few weeks away!! It’s that time of year again that most of us are decorating our homes, doing the baking, and going shopping for gifts for our friends and family. Sometimes in lieu of a present, I purchase a gift card. Gift cards are great to give, as they are always the right size, no standing in line and the best, no returns!! I like them as I never know what a teenager may want, or even for little ones, what Santa may have missed on the wish list. What I like to do, (to make the GC more personal), is make my own Gift Card envelope/holder. [Read more…]
Congratulations to November’s blog challenge winner Melanie B! Please check your PMs over at The Lilypad for details of how to claim your prize! And now, on to this month’s challenge!
It’s the Silly Season! No matter how or where you are, share with us how you celebrate this time of year.
Way down south here in Australia, it’s hard to relate to scenes of snowmen or snow-draped landscapes. It’s hot. Depending on which part of the country you are living will depend where you celebrate (ie near the coast, at the beach, in the mountains, or in your own backyard). It’s too hot to cook huge meals, and seafood plays a fairly big part of the festivities because it can be cooked and then eaten cold. Not many of us celebrate anything with turkey, but we are pretty big cold ham consumers. Barbeques are also fairly typical (although depending on the weather, sometimes banned because of fire conditions). I know it’s Christmas time when it’s stinking hot, but my husband can’t get into the Christmassy feeling until July – being English, he is used to very cold Christmases. You’d think he’d be used to it after 10 years, but no…
If you have been celebrating Thanksgiving I hope that you have enjoyed a wonderful day with your nearest and dearest and that you can still do your trousers up after all that turkey and pie! Over here in the UK, Black Friday is a new concept but it’s getting bigger and bigger every year, there seems to be even more deals to be had so I plan on doing a little online Christmas shopping today! But first, I have lots of new releases to tell you about this week and they are all 30% off this weekend as part of our Black Friday and Cyber Monday celebrations!
Along with all the new releases, I also have some special Black Friday deals – grab these products at half price, today only! These goodies will never be discounted further so if you have any of these in your wishlist now would be a good time to treat yourself!
