Let the Games Begin

This week I am adding to my range of British themed doodles with a new pack celebrating the forthcoming London 2012 Olympic games! Let the Games Begin is packed with hand drawn doodles and hand written wordy-bit strips and is on sale at 20% off all weekend!

I am really looking forward to watching the opening ceremony tonight and enjoying the next few weeks of sporting events held right here in the UK – especially as it means that with no time difference to contend with I won’t have to stay up all night to watch, ha ha! Here’s what my fabulous creative team and the Lilypad Pollywogs whipped up with these doodles:

  1. I knew you’d have an Olympic pack! Yay! Living in London & going to the Olympics myself – so this is absolutely PERFECT!!! Hope you get a chance to go too. :)

    Go Team GB & USA!!!

    • I’m glad you like them! I am rather envious that you are going to the games, I couldn’t get tickets :( Have a fabulous time (and take LOADS of photos to scrap!!)

  2. Great Olympic and British sets! Love them! You’re the only digital scrapbook artist that seems to be doing the Olympic kits, or at least nice ones! I’m Canadian and your set for the Vancouver 2010 games was the best one I found. Thank you for that! I just realized that you have your own site.

I have a question about a couple of the Olympic/British layouts that I’m seeing here and on the Lilypad site. The one by Stacy has a brownish background paper with Big Ben. Do you know where that paper comes from?? There was another similar idea-d paper on one of the layouts on your Lilypad page too. Love those papers. Can you help me find out where to get them?

    Thanks again,
    Martha

    • Hi Martha, thank you so much for your kind words! I will check with Stacy but I am sure that she has taken a plain brown paper and blended a photo of Big Ben into it herself! I’ll let you know if that isn’t the case :)

  3. Martha, I did take a photo that I had from a trip to London a few years back and blend it into a kraft paper to make that background. The photo itself would have overpowered but the plain paper just wasn’t enough for me. I was lucky enough to have a few photos on hand that I could enlarge to make this happen. Stock photos would also work for this purpose.
